It has been a while since I last wrote a blog entry, there are a few reasons for this:
Well, we’re getting close to wrapping up production on the beta build of the MMORPG Hack Wars. For those showing up late, Hack Wars is the only role playing game (that we know of) in which programming is used as a play mechanic! Don’t worry, this isn’t the only play mechanic — we’re not Reader Rabbit (or whatever those boring educational games from the 80s were called). Our beta should be up and running, within the next week or so (polishing up has been taking a bit longer than we expected). We’re still looking for more individuals interested in participating in the closed beta — if interested, please e-mail bencoe @ gmail.com.

For close to a year now, I and a few friends of mine have been working on an MMORPG engine.
This engine has been used to develop a unique online hacking RPG — this game, which has recently been given the title Hack Wars, is approaching a closed beta testing phase. We are in the process of purchasing servers, finalizing game-play, and finishing up some last minute programming. If you are interested in getting on the beta test of this game please contact me at bencoe@gmail.com — Until we launch the website hackwars.net, I am going to be using this section of my blog to work on documentation for the game, and to post various information about Hack Wars.
Do you know what made the Internet great, it was a global community that transcended borders and allowed individuals to interact regardless of race, creed, or country of origin — this interaction could take place with relative anonymity. Never have I seen a bigger departure from this spirit, than the actions of certain large (generally American) corporations in limiting their web-traffic to citizens of their country of origin.
